April Wells has demonstrated exceptional leadership in the area of providing equitable opportunities for children with potential for advanced learning and achievement, particularly for children who have historically been underserved. April is a systems thinking, educational equity leader whose innovative mindset has changed the landscape of DEI space for the past ten years. April’s understanding of the need to be strategic and collaborative in shaping the future of public education is notable. Her ability to advocate and innovate is demonstrated in designing services for gifted leaners who have been marginalized and overlooked. Her role in redesigning those services and programs to make them responsive to the students population and more equitable has been an asset at the local, state and national level.

Charles Wells, MSW- School specialization, co-founder, believes in restorative approaches to enhancing communication and relationships between individuals. As a mental health professional, he assists in facilitating the social development of youth and building partnerships with educators and stakeholders to contribute to the overall growth of students, particularly those from underserved communities. His emphasis in the educational environment is to foster authentic interactions with students from a culturally proficient lens.
